First time ordering from here since we moved relatively close. The lady who answered the call had a thick accent but was very nice. We ordered at 945pm on a Tuesday ... we were told 45 minutes.. let's see what happens
We got the food at 1020pm. Not bad. I got the general tsos chicken combo with chicken lo mein instead of rice. Also got the steamed dumplings.
The chicken was good. Not enough hearty white meat in it.. but that's me being picky. Sauce on it was good and chicken exterior was crispy yet glazed with the sauce. The lo mein was decent. Not the best I've had but decent.
The steamed dumplings were very good. I could eat these things day in and day out lol
Overall food was good and service was friendly and fast. -

Didn't like anything I ordered tonight (First time)
The rice was undercooked. (Yellow?) the beef teriyaki was coated with something uncooked all the way. Maybe cornstarch? The chicken fingers were good until I ate more than one. Disappointed. -

I find the food above average at the Hong Kong House many of the dishes I have tried are executed with both flavor and excellent presentation. The luncheon prices, portions and quality can not be beat, this remains one of my luncheon go-to spots for a quick satisfying meal.
Perhaps a slight draw back is that the dining area is located near the bar which has a loyal customer following but there is a slight barrier separation between the two which should suffice. -

Last 2 times we ordered food it just wasn't very good. Egg foo young was very greasy (like wring out a puddle of grease, greasy), mushy dumplings in won ton soup and overly salty on most other dishes. Too bad, maybe just a new cook?

Run of the mill Chinese joint. Only one in the area I think. Interior is rundown and doesn't look clean, modern, or maintained. Prices are decent though, service is ok. Takeout ordering times are longer than any Chinese place I've ever ordered, and they weren't even busy. Expect around 20-30 minutes. Pork fried rice was horrible. No flavor, yellow color, scraps of fat and random pork pieces. Chicken wings were good, teriyaki beef, chicken fingers, and ribs. Spring rolls were soaked in oil and slimy on the inside. On the low end of Chinese food. Just happy I didn't get sick yet.
